Club Season 2021-22 Awards

Congratulations to all who played for the club this season. We are very proud of how far our teams have come. To all who took the time to improve their games and help those members at the beginning of their chess careers we applaud you.

Derek was a very keen supporter of our 5th team last year and got promoted to 3rd team match this season. He was part of the winning team when we played Wimborne Chess Club.

Illustrious History

Founded in 1880, the club has an illustrious history.

An article written by the Bournemouth Echo in 1984 cites important figures, such as Mr Emmanuel Lasker, World Chess Champion, and the Grand Master Mr C Mansfield as early members of the club.
